Group Class Training
Currently only available for existing clients
At Sunfire Canines, our Group Classes are designed to enhance your dog’s skills in a dynamic, social environment while maintaining a personalized approach. Tailored for existing clients, these classes build on the foundation already established in private sessions, allowing your dog to practice essential behaviors in a group setting. The focus will be on improving leash walking skills, strengthening recall commands, and maintaining your dog’s attention and focus in the presence of distractions—crucial for achieving success in real-world scenarios.
Each class will introduce new challenges and exercises, ensuring your dog continues to grow and develop under the guidance of our experienced trainers. No two sessions will be exactly alike; we will customize each class to meet the collective needs of the group, helping each dog advance at their own pace while encouraging teamwork and mutual support among participants.
We also ask that all clients respect the space and personal goals of other attendees. Please refrain from allowing your dog to approach other dogs or owners unless explicitly permitted by our trainers. We understand that every dog is on their own unique training journey, and our group setting is an opportunity to work together while honoring each individual’s progress and goals. We believe that training as a team creates a strong, supportive community where everyone’s success is celebrated.
Please note that dates for our group classes are currently TBD, and we look forward to sharing more details soon.

Frequently asked Questions
Before booking a consultation and starting your dog’s training journey, we understand you may have some questions. Below, you’ll find answers to some of our most frequently asked questions to help you prepare. If you have any additional questions or need further clarification, feel free to reach out to us directly.
All new clients are required to book an initial consultation before beginning any training program. This consultation lasts up to two hours and is typically held at your home or a public location of your choice. During this time, we will discuss your training goals, address any questions or concerns, and evaluate your dog’s behavior to develop a personalized training plan. To ensure a smooth start, we ask that your dog is either leashed, crated, or in a separate room upon our arrival. You can also request a complimentary phone call prior to the in-person consultation to discuss preliminary details.
Before your consultation, please ensure that all dogs (with an exception puppies) are up to date on their vaccinations. You will need a 4-6 ft leash (flexible/retractable leashes are not recommended), and we encourage having your dog’s favorite treats readily available for training. Additionally, we recommend wearing comfortable clothes suitable for hands-on training. While note-taking is encouraged, we will also send a detailed follow-up email summarizing the consultation for your convenience.
Our lead trainer, Mackenzie, is highly skilled in a variety of training techniques, including clicker training, front-clip harnesses, and prong collars. However, we prioritize your comfort and will never pressure you to use any tool that makes you uncomfortable. We’ll work with you to find alternatives that suit your dog’s needs. If necessary, we will evaluate whether a muzzle is appropriate to ensure safety for everyone involved. With over 20 years of combined experience, the trainers at Sunfire Canines are here to guide you in selecting the best tools to achieve optimal results tailored to your dog’s unique needs.
